Questions about Insurance & Fees

Q: "What insurances does Dr. Gibson accept?"

A: I am an "in-network" provider for the following insurances:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
ASR / Physician’s Care.

If you have one of the above insurances, you must first meet your deductible (if you have one), and then you pay only your co-pay at the time of service. I will then submit claims directly and electronically to the insurance carrier.

Q: "But what if I have an insurance that he doesn't participate with?"

A: If your insurance is one I do not participate with, you may be able to get some reimbursement if your carrier has "out-of-network" benefits. In this case, you pay the full fee at the time of service and I provide you with a form known as a superbill, which you can submit to your carrier for possible reimbursement.

Q: "I plan to pay for therapy out-of-pocket. What are his fees?"

A: My fee for in the initial session (assessment/evaluation) is $160. The fee for subsequent sessions (standard therapy sessions) is $130. Other financial details can be found on the New Client Information forms (found here).

Q: "Does he accept credit / debit cards?"

A: Yes.

Q: "Does he have an option for a payment plan?"

A: Sorry, not at this time.
